Lunch-Box dream

I have begun to like my book more as I get farther into my book but I do find it confusing and feel as if it leaves out parts. The beginning of the book got off to a slow start and took so long to pick up that I don't think that I would recommend this book to anyone. I am glad that it has picked up so that I don't completely dislike this book.

Lunch-box dream

My book has begun to get more interesting now that I have gotten farther into the book and it is showing more conflict between the characters and it is beginning to  explain how the charecters are feeling at certain points in time. There are still some points in the book hat the don't talk enough about and leave stuff out but it has definitely gotten a lot better sense the beginning of the book.

Lunch-box dream

I am almost all of the way through my book has begun to show some tension between the characters. Bobby has been stressed out and felt a little unloved. During one of the chapters I read over the week he stole a bag of shotgun shells the they had as a souvenir at the store to prove to his brother that the shell he found in the woods was fake. His brother began to scream and his mom found out that he stole them. Bobby got so mad that he stormed off up the hill and broke the fake sword his mother bought his when he went back to his family they got back in the car and started driving some more. The family gets to this place that looks run down and the pull in but to large men come towards them so the family tries to drive off but they pop there tire on a wire fence. As they drive off they don't see a semi truck turning onto their street and go to swerve away from it at the last minute but then hit a pole.

Lunch-box dream

I have 40 pages left in my book. Over the last week the book has started to talk more about the other family. You begin to learn more about how a African American family grew up differs from how an American family grows up at this time period. They little boy goes missing over the chapters I read and the family is really concerned about him. Also as the other family drops off their grandma the emotion of the brother and mom towards bobby come out and it makes bobby feel like the family doesn't like him.

Lunch-Box Dream

Right now in my book the family is on a vacation looking at civil war battle fields and they the parents are going through troubles which is concerning to the children. Also the one child bobby is questioning how his grandpa died and seems like he is going through a lot and has a lot of stress. Along with that he feels as if his parents like his brother more and that he will never be able to accomplish what his brother has.

Lunch-box Dream

In my book they have started to talk more about how old the characters are and how they interact with each other. They have showed how the different families grew up. The book is still slow and the two families don't really interact with each other.  They dont get to tell you alot between the chapters and they dont talk about one of the family that often.

lunch-box dream

My book has definitely gotten better as I have read father. I still don't think I would recommend it to anyone just because of how slow the beginning is. I hope that the book gets good enough in the end that I would recommend it to some one and they would enjoy the book. I may just not enjoy the book because of how it is written and some people may have read it and really enjoyed it.

Lunch-box Dream

I believe that the theme in my book would be don't judge somebody to quickly get to know them before you can judge them. My book shows the life of a white family and a colored family and how they compare to each other. And how they interact with others and their own family. At this time period different races were judged dramatically differently. Even though they are very alike in their normal life. They are also always thinking about if the other race acts like they do.

Lunch-box dream

My book is getting better as I read farther. It still doesn't talk much about the characters because the characters are always talking about what they are doing and really only one specific character can be talking about their experience at a time. I think that as the book goes on I will start to enjoy it more and it will start to make more sense. also they focus on one family more than the other so I understand when they are talking as the one family but not so much the other family.

Lunch-Box Dream

I would recommend this book to people that like when books switch between characters and that like books that are  realistic fiction. The book is about a family that is driving on a route to see an old civil war battlefield. The family is traveling long the same path that the train that took president Abrahams body, after he was assassinated, on.When the family looses their son they meet a totally different family that can help them through there trouble. So far I would give his book a 3 star rating I wouldn't necessarily recommend t to a friend but I could see how other people may like this book.

Below is a picture of the route the train took through Ohio

Lunch-Box Dream

The book is getting a little bit better as it goes on t the characters are starting to develop more and make more sense. It is still a little hard to follow during some parts and understand what is happening in the book. I also cant tell what time the books takes place I know that it is before civil rights but I don't know how much before. I think that as the book gets farther into thing and can explain more I will like the book better.

Lunch-Box Dream

I am about a third through my book and so far the two families haven't had anything to do with one another. Within the families the characters seem to show different emotions to one another. Bobby and Ricky who are brothers seem to get on each others nerves just as siblings normally do. Bobby seems to love his family but not really understand them to well but he also doesn't want to make them mad. The other family hasn't appeared much in the book so far an hasn't done much towards the theme. As of right now the characters haven't done much to develop the theme but I assume latter on in the book they will have more of an effect on the theme and plot

Lunch-Box Dream

I don't really like how the book is starting I think it is kind of slow and they switch between all of the characters at each chapter which makes it confusing to follow. The author also doesn't talk much about the characters so I don't know anything about them like how old they are or if they are African American or not.

Lunch-Box Dream

I  predict that in my book a car accident will bring two families together that otherwise would have never met, and they will rely on each other for confidence and happiness in this rough time. A text to self connection is that in tough time we have relied on others for support the same as I believe this family will. A text to world connection is that many people are judged based on their skin color. This story takes place during the pre-civil rights era when many African Americans had very few rights. Finally a text to text connection is I think it is kind of like the book Whirligig because it talks about how an accident can bring to families closer together.
